Valentine’s Day: It’s the most romantic time of the year and you’re going to want to do something special for your other half. Forget buying cheap chocolates and flowers (they’ll be dead within a week anyway), and treat your beloved (or your BFWB) to a night of love and laughter.
No matter what your feelings are for this hallmark-etable (get it?) holiday, Vancouver TheatreSports™ (VTSL) has a show for you. From Tuesday, February 6 to Wednesday, February 14, it’s Romance Week at The Improv Centre at VTSL.
Improv comedians will make you LOL with Love Matches (a romantic twist on classic TheatreSports™), roll your eyes with Love Unscripted – An Improvised Rom-Com (filled with all the inane clichés and funny, awkward moments, we all know and love), and be prepared to blush with Red Hot Romance (XXX-rated comedy), and to finish off the week, Cupid and Venus are hosting a special Valentine’s Day event: My Funny Valentine.
Romance Week/VTSL
You’ll be happy to know that these are V-Day themed events that won’t burn a hole in your pocket either. Tickets for Romance Week start at just $10.75 via VTSL. If you want to do something special on the one and only Valentine’s Day, tickets for the My Funny Valentine show range from $31.00 to $32.50.
Even if you don’t have a date, this could be your chance to meet someone cute IRL. (Fun fact: VTSL has been told improv makes for great first dates and have even had patrons propose to their loved ones on stage).

VTSL is turning up the heat during Romance Week with a week-long raffle (approximate value $550). Buy a raffle ticket at any of the shows during Romance Week and you could win a $100 gift card to Dockside Restaurant, one night in a deluxe room from The Granville Island Hotel, a hamper containing a magnum of Henkell Trocken with two champagne flutes from Mark Anthony Wines & Spirits, or two premium seats to a VTSL show plus a bottle of premium red or white wine to enjoy at the show.
