The best Chinese food in Metro Vancouver in 2017, according to diners

The eaters have spoken! The 2017 Chinese Restaurant Awards Diners’ Choice results are in, and we now know where to find the best of the best when it comes to Chinese food in Metro Vancouver this year.

With a voting period that spanned December 12, 2016 to January 22, 2017, this segment of the popular annual food awards focuses on a set of dishes, using the dining public’s nominations for where they go when they want the best in the city. Over 38,000 votes were recorded this year.

As is the tradition, new iconic dishes are added to the ballots, and the 2017 additions are: Best Cantonese Siu Mai, Best Shredded Turnip Pastry, Best Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles, Best Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, and Best Durian Glutinous Rice Dumpling. New categories this year are: Best New Restaurant and Best Takeout Restaurant.
