Crazy video shows what happens on BC's highways "when things go sideways" in winter (VIDEO)

As the old saying goes: when it rains, it pours.

And when it snows hard on BC’s mountainous highways, things go sideways.

Truck driver Clayton Brown posted a dashcam video to YouTube recently, showing just how messy things can get when the perfect storm of weather conditions hit, and it’s not pretty.

“Conditions of the day, which were 2°C and snowing caused very slick road conditions,” Brown said in the video. “I hope this video sheds some light on what we truckers go through out here to get people their food and supplies.”

And judging by the video, it seems a big thanks is in order to all truck drivers who brave – and battle – winter roads and conditions.

Oh, and the highway was closed for several hours not long after Brown took this footage.
