Several hours ago, Bandai Studios announced that they would be closing down their Vancouver office.
The announcement came from Landon Nguyen, Senior Vice President and Mobile Game Director, who shared the news via social media.
I’m sad to announce that as of today Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver will be shutting down. I want to thank everyone who came with us on this journey. We shipped some awesome experiences together. Thank you to all the fans who supported our games and our studio #gamedev

The video game giant is famous for titles like Tekken, several titles of Pac Man series, and several titles of the Soulcalibur series.
Their office is located in the Mount Pleasant area, a short distance from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
In addition to a Vancouver location, they have studios located in Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
No further details have been shared by the company.
