The Variety Show of Hearts telethon is gearing up, and with all the excitement, you’ve probably heard a fair bit about what Variety does for kids.

From making sure families can stay together during difficult surgeries to helping kids with mobility issues gain their independence, Variety does a lot to make sure kids in BC and the Yukon get the help they need.

If you’re wondering how you can donate to make sure these kids get the help they need, we’ve got you covered.

We’ve compiled a list of five easy ways you can donate not only during the Variety Show of Hearts telethon, but all throughout the year.

Online

Making a donation online is both time-efficient and simple. All you have to do is go to Variety BC’s donation page and choose the amount you want to donate. You can donate any amount you want, whether it’s just once or every month. You can also donate anonymously, if that’s important to you. Plus, if you donate online, you’ll immediately receive a tax receipt.

Phone

If you find it to be more personable, you can also donate over the phone. Just call Variety’s toll-free number at 310-KIDS (310-5437) to make a donation in the amount of your choice.

Text

This one’s super convenient. A quick and easy one time donation can be done via text. Simply text “KIDS” to 45678, and you’ll automatically make a $20 contribution.

Fundraisers

If you want to help other people support Variety, you can always donate to a fundraiser through Variety’s fundraiser page. These fundraisers are put together by people who want to raise a certain amount for Variety. You can also start your own fundraiser to get others to put money towards the charity as well.

Gifts-in-kind

Although cash donations go a long way towards helping kids in BC and the Yukon, you can also make other kinds of donations. Gifts-in-kind can be donations of products, services, or property. Email Variety BC at [email protected] for more information on how you can make this kind of donation.
