Nov 10 2017, 4:10 am

The TTC will be pausing all service for two minutes of silence on Sunday.

On November 11, between 11 am to 11:02 am, service will be stopped across the network in honour of Canada’s fallen, according to the transit agency.

As well, all current members of the Canadian Armed Forces in uniform, war and peacekeeping veterans, and one companion, can ride free of charge on Saturday. TTC buses and streetcars will display a Lest We Forget sign, and a special message will run on all subway platform screens.

Several Remembrance Day events will be taking place around the city on Saturday.

Due to the subway closure on Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations from November 11 to 12,  the TTC encourages customers to use the University line to get to Remembrance Day events taking place this weekend.

There are also several route diversions taking place during this weekend’s ceremonies, including:

Old City Hall Remembrance Day Service (10:45 am to 1 pm):

Queen’s Park Remembrance Day Ceremony (10:45 am to 1 pm):
