Justin Trudeau is Rolling Stone‘s latest cover boy.

Now, we’re used to American media fawning over our globally beloved prime minister, but the magazine’s praise of our leader in its latest issue is some major infatuation.

Just look at him against that desk. Rappers lean with less swag. His fitted suit is a crisp middle finger to whoever’s tailoring Trump. And that gaze – half invite to a night on the town, half admission that it’s past his bed time.

Somewhere in DC, Ivanka Trump is casting the same look at a magazine stand.

A desperate yearning adorns his portrait – Why Can’t He Be Our President? – while the story inside posits whether he is the free world’s best hope. He is a superhero, after all. You can feel Trump choke on his afternoon covfefe.

Author Stephen Rodrick, an American journalist, commits nearly 7,000 words to the piece, which boasts about Trudeau’s feminism, refugee policy, commitment to climate change, pro-choice stance, marijuana legalization, safe-usage strategy to combat the opioid crisis, and savviness on social media. He also appreciates that Trudeau once wore a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy T-shirt on national television and can coherently combine words to express thoughts – in two languages.

Trudeau is the first Canadian prime minister to land a spot on the cover, joining former US presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as the two other world leaders who’ve graced the magazine’s front page.
