Get ready to head outside, Toronto – warm weather is finally on its way!

That’s right, according to The Weather Network, the freezing temperatures and widespread snow that we’ve been experiencing this week are over and we can expect a bit of a ‘wintermission’ over the coming days as temperatures rise and snow melts.

As we head into the weekend temperatures will slowly heat up, bringing us some much-needed warmer days.

“We’ll see a warming trend through the end of the week with above seasonal temperatures through the weekend,” says The Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham.

This stretch of warm weather will actually be the longest period of temperatures above freezing since mid-November.

Unfortunately, patio season still isn’t within reach as another shot of cooler air is expected to hit Toronto by the start of next week.

But we’ll take what we can we can get. Plus, if you’re really feeling like a patio you can always check out one of these heated ones in the city.
