Fresh off lashing out at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Twitter and calling him “very dishonest” and “weak,” the US President has publically slammed Trudeau again.

At a news conference in Singapore, Trump said Trudeau’s comments during the G7 Summit in Quebec over the weekend would “cost a lot of money for the people of Canada.”

The US President is referring to when Trudeau told reporters Canada “will not be pushed around” in response to the Trump administration’s newly announced tariffs on steel and aluminum.

At Trump’s press conference in Singapore, he told audience members he had watched Trudeau’s news conference while aboard Air Force One, and he was upset because he thought he and Trudeau had a “good relationship” following the G7 Summit.

“No, I have a good relationship with Justin Trudeau, I really did … other than he had a news conference that he had because he assumed I was in an airplane and I wasn’t watching; he learned and that’s going to coats a lot of money for the people of Canada,” said the President.

Trump has consistently been against what he considers unfair trade practices from America’s biggest trade partners, which includes Canada, Mexico, and the European Union.

One of the main causes for Trump’s ire is Canada’s supply management system, which charges the US up to 300% on imported dairy products, which Trump claims is “hurting our Farmers, killing our Agriculture!”
