A week after the tragic mass shooting in Toronto’s Greektown neighbourhood, mourners are gathering today for the funeral of Reese Fallon who died during the Sunday night shooting on The Danforth.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is among those expected to attend the service, which follows a public visitation that took place on Sunday for the 18-year-old.

According to Trudeau’s official itinerary, the Prime Minister is expected to attend a private event this morning, followed by laying flowers at a fountain at the Alexander the Great Parkette.

Fallon is among the two people killed and 13 injured in the Danforth shooting after a 29-year-old gunman began firing shots at pedestrians and restaurant-goers around 10 pm on Danforth Avenue.

Ten-year-old Julianna Kozis was also killed in the shooting.

Police say the gunman was found dead with a gunshot wound nearby after exchanging fire with officers.
