Environment Canada issues special weather statement for Toronto

Toronto is in for a wetter than normal day today.

Environment Canada has already issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto warning of rain, at times heavy, expected to continue into early this afternoon before tapering off into showers.

Overnight, nearly 10 mm of rain fell on the city and now an additional 20 to 30 mm is possible. Per the special weather statement in effect, “Visibility may be reduced in heavy rain and local pooling on roads is possible.”
