Special weather statement in effect for Toronto due to rain, dense fog
Get ready for fog, and lots of it.
According to Environment Canada, you can expect to see rain and patches of fog this morning that will linger throughout the afternoon.
This morning’s rain, however, will be short lived as the rain is forecasted to shift to snow by midday as Toronto is forecast to receive 1-3 cms this afternoon and into the evening.
According to Environment Canada, Toronto will be hit by a cold front later this afternoon, which will result in a period of freezing rain during the changeover from rain to snow.

Environment Canada encourages those who head out this afternoon to be cautious of icy roads, highways, walkways and parking lots, and to take extra care when walking in these areas.
