The Weather Network has already said we’re screwed this week. But in case there was any doubt, conditions in Toronto are already set to deteriorate later tonight.
So far, it’s not the snow that’s coming for us, but the cold. According to Environment Canada, “a sharp Arctic cold front is forecast to sweep across the region early this evening. A sudden drop in temperature from near the freezing mark may make wet or snow-covered roads rather icy Sunday evening.”
So take note if you’re on the roads tonight, surfaces could be more slippery than they appear.
It’s currently 1°C in Toronto but according to The Weather Network it’s going to feel as cold as -21°C by tonight.

Some more snow today followed by a sharp drop in temperatures early this evening.
Periods of snow will continue today. Snowfall amounts won’t be significant, partly due to melting and settling of the wet snow as temperatures nudge above the freezing mark. Additional amounts up to 5 centimetres are likely before tapering off this evening.
In addition, a sharp Arctic cold front is forecast to sweep across the region early this evening. A sudden drop in temperature from near the freezing mark may make wet or snow-covered roads rather icy Sunday evening.
Motorists should allow a little extra time to reach their destination, with particular heed to slippery road conditions this evening.
