Espresso-based drinks, teas, and Japanese pastries are on the menu at Little Pebbles, a newly opened dessert counter in Kensington Market.

Occupying a shopfront underneath the Kensington Market Lofts, the bake-shop helmed by display case here focuses on four house specialities.

Expect to find French macarons with Japanese twists, Osaka-style roll cakes featuring¬†soft fluffy sponge cake rolled around fresh¬†cream,¬†chiffon cakes in flavours like¬†red bean cream,¬† black sesame, or matcha, and, finally, dacquoise¬†“sandwiches” crafted with layers of¬†almond meringue¬†sandwiching¬†fine red bean paste.
