Toronto's annual New Year's Day Polar Bear Dip is back

Winter arrived in all its glory last week, and it may be hard to imagine being in a bathing suit at one of our Toronto beaches these days.

But that is exactly what some Torontonians will be wearing on January 1 at Sunnyside Beach.

The annual Toronto Polar Bear Dip tradition returns in support of Habitat for Humanity.

Since 2005, the Toronto Polar Bear Club has raised almost $370,000 – funds that have gone directly to build projects in the Greater Toronto Area.

If you’re looking to take part in a chilly dip for a good cause, there’s still time. Register and sign up online, and get ready to try this rare hangover cure.
