New music vid shows off more than 400 pieces of Toronto street art (VIDEO)

Toronto is #blessed when it comes to street art.

The city has a wealth of artists, most of whom have contributed splashes of colour on our streets. And the City of Toronto acknowledges the artists with the Street Art Gallery, a map based listing of all the city’s murals and street art.

Now a Toronto-based indie soul singer-songwriter is showing off all the colourful beauty of Toronto’s streets in her latest music video.

The Jessica Stuart Few captures over 400 street and graffiti artists in her new video “Same Girl” while she skateboards around town. According to a press release, the song and video unintentionally (and fittingly) became a celebration of creative women; from the all-girls chorus who backed Jessica up on the recording, to music video director Taravat Khalili (one-half of KAJART), to the final sequence of the video shot featuring the work of 19 feminist street artists who had just recently transformed a Parkdale alley into a public gallery.
