Former city planner Jennifer Keesmaat is officially running for Toronto mayor against current John Tory.

Keesmaat filed her paperwork at city hall on Friday, which is the final day to register.

The upcoming Toronto mayoral election is scheduled for October 22.

On September 29, 2017, Keesmaat officially stepped down from the City’s Planning Division after five years.
