Following a very hot and humid weekend, Toronto remains under a heat warning today.
According to Environment Canada, a hot and humid airmass will continue to affect the Golden Horseshoe this afternoon with high temperatures expected to be in the low thirties and humidex values in the high thirties.
But cooler temperatures are in sight.
Environment Canada says a cold front will move through the city Monday night, bringing an end to the heat.
Environment Canada is also advising the public to watch for signs of heat illness, including swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
Be sure to drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
And never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
