Editor’s note: This event is not happening as indicated. A representative from Artscape Wychwood Barns confirms to Daily Hive that the Harry Potter Day advertised by Nostalgic Events on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at “Wynchwood Barns” is NOT being hosted at Wychwood Barns.

“As cool as this event sounds, this organization did not book our space and after repeated attempts, we have not been able to reach them to verify the correct event location.”

Calling all Witches, Wizards, and Muggles, you’re invited to celebrate over 20 years of Harry Potter magic this April.

Grab your cloaks, brooms, and wands, as Toronto’s Wynchwood Barns will be transformed into a magical wizard world for all ages, as part of Harry Potter Day

As soon as you step foot into Wynchwood Barns, you’ll be transported to Hogwarts, where you’ll be knighted with the sword of Gryffindor.

From there you’ll spend the afternoon reliving the magic of one of the most iconic stories of all time by experiencing Harry Potter’s favourite activities.

Guests can take photos in the Hogwarts photobooth, meet Hagrid, Crookshanks and Scabber characters, and check out the magical market where vendors will be selling clothing, books, collectibles, and more.

Forgot your wand? There’ll also be a Harry Potter craft bar on site, where guests can make their own paper wands, badges, house crests, and more.

Witches and wizards can perfect their skills by checking out the potion making station, in addition to watching a magic show or attending a tarot card reading.

Of course, no trip to Hogwarts is complete without some Potter-themed treats, including Butterbeer (alcohol-free also available), chocolate frogs and cauldron cakes.

This is a costumed affair and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed.
