Hamilton Police have identified 19-year-old Natshon Defreitas of Toronto as the victim of an early morning homicide in the city’s east end.
According to Hamilton Police, on Sunday, September 23 just after 4 am, police received reports of a male victim who had been reportedly shot in the area of 470 Beach Road.
Police say Defreitas was transported by a group of people in a single vehicle in an attempt to get him to the hospital.
Enroute to the hospital, the vehicle transporting the victim came upon the Hamilton Fire Department in the area of Dalhousie and Ottawa Street North.
It was at that point the victim was able to be transferred to an ambulance and was transported to the Hamilton General Hospital by paramedics.
The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital at about 6 am, making this Hamilton’s sixth homicide of 2018.
