Toronto weather to remain unbelievably cold for the next week

Baby, it’s still cold outside. But there’s finally some hope in the near future.

That’s right, an end to Toronto’s cold weather woes is in sight. Following weeks of treacherous sub-zero temperatures, Environment Canada’s long-term forecast finally shows some relief from the cold on the horizon.

The thermometer could possibly reach 0°C on Monday, January 8 according to the government agency.

Despite being still technically freezing, -0°C might just feel positively balmy in comparison the nearly minus -30°C temperatures that Toronto began experiencing in mid-December.

Unfortunately, Toronto will still have to cope with another wave of brutal cold weather before the week is out.

Experts at The Weather Network report that, “temperatures seem set to dive again late week–perhaps further than they did over New Year’s–as a reinforcing shot of cold air is ushered down by the polar vortex.”
