You can stay at this new boutique hotel in Toronto for $1 a night
Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood has a new resident, The Annex, a modern, boutique hotel that will make you want to book a staycation ASAP.
The hotel, centrally located between Yorkville and Koreatown at 296 Brunswick, is steps away from some of the city’s most talked about restaurants and hotspots.
Each element of the hotel has been carefully crafted from the hand-selected artwork to custom finishes to ensure that The Annex would embody the spirit of the Annex neighbourhood.
And to get to know its new neighbours, the hotel is opening its doors with a special offer for Torontonians, a staycation for just $1 per night.
Seriously.
The Annex ‘Staycation’ will run from November 26 to 29 and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
The hotel will be releasing 24 rooms a day at $1, for one night and the process of getting your room is simple: the first person to book receives the room for the night.
Guests can sign up to receive an email or text notification for when the bookings go live here.
Upon arrival, guests will note the hotel has the key markings of a boutique hotel with a few small nuances: no room service, no TVs, and no front desk.
Instead, the hotel focuses more on creating a welcoming, social and hyper-local experience for all of its guests.
Think of it as a hybrid between an Airbnb and a design hotel, where guests can make reservations via The Annex website as well as the Airbnb platform for rates between $150 and $250.
So, get away for a night in the city and experience the Annex, for less than what a drink would cost you at the bar.
