Mats Sundin highlights Leafs alumni roster for Centennial Classic

The NHL has announced the rosters for the Centennial Classic alumni game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings, and I think you’re going to like what you see.

The alumni game will take place on December 31 at BMO Field, a day before the Leafs and Red Wings present day teams play for two points in the NHL standings.

The Leafs have chosen players from a couple of different eras, meaning that players like Mats Sundin, Doug Gilmour, and Wendel Clark will play with legends Darryl Sittler, Lanny McDonald, and Borje Salming.

Also playing together are two of the most famous tough guys of all-time in Tie Domi and Tiger Williams.

Detroit has chosen a roster comprised almost entirely of players from the 90s, which includes Leafs president Brendan Shanahan. Steve Yzerman won’t play, but this is still a star-studded lineup which includes Sergei Fedorov, Chris Chelios, Paul Coffey, and Nicklas Lidstrom.
