You can now take outdoor group cycle and yoga classes in Toronto

Revamping your summer wardrobe can now come with the option of a breezy outdoor group cycle or yoga class.

That’s because all summer long CF Shops at Don Mills is hosting outdoor group cycle and yoga classes in its Town Square.

In partnership with The Rosedale Club, the 50-minute high-energy group cycle takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am, 12:15 pm and 5:30 pm (until August 31). At $15 per person, it comes with a smaller price tag than your typical class, along with the added bonus of being outdoors.

As second-time spinners (let’s just say the first time didn’t exactly go well), we joined a sample group cycle session last week led by the Group Exercise Program Manager for the Rosedale Club, Christopher Roche. We’re happy to report that we made it through, thanks to a combo of Roche’s infectious energy, upbeat music and – of course – the ability to alter the resistance at will to cater to different fitness levels.

The fresh juices, sunscreen station and cold towels offered by the lovely ladies from The Concierge Club helped our cause (sadly, they were only on-site for the day), as did the curious eyes of on-lookers (“You always work harder when you’re being watched,” said Roche). Of course, the fresh air was also a lot more welcomed than a hot, sweaty spin studio.

As for the yoga, it’s free of charge and takes place on Sundays (until September 3) from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, helping your hangover cause and getting you hyped up for some summer shopping. Presented by CF Shops of Don Mills’ Physiomobility, the yoga is adaptable for all fitness levels.

The best part (obviously) about both classes is that you can reward yourself for all of your hard work at one of the many restaurants and well-curated retail stores just steps away (and yes, we’re including Chipotle).
