It was a cosplay dream come true.

Fan Expo Canada returned for its 22nd year this past weekend. The Expo is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event in Canada. The 4-day event took place between September 1 to 4 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and drew thousands of fans over the long weekend.

The Expo featured panels with legends such as Stan Lee and Kate Mulgrew. And although Cosplay was optional, it definitely didn’t seem that way at the event.

One of the funnest things about Fan Expo is when random people give you recognition for your cosplay 🙂 I was stopped every 5-10 minutes to get my photo taken, which is a huge compliment for my first time making my own costume and first time at a convention! I can see how people can turn this into a full blown hobby or even job, it is truly an art to create armour out of EVA foam.
