The Ministry of Labour mediator has called Ontario’s colleges and workers to return to the bargaining table.
According to a statement issued by the province, the mediator called the parties in the ongoing labour dispute to meet on Thursday, November 2 to resume talks.
More than 12,000 Ontario public college faculty are on strike after talks with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) and the College Employer Council failed to reach a tentative agreement in mid-October.
The strike is affecting 24 Ontario colleges, and more than 220,000 students province-wide.
This morning Ontario colleges have asked the provincially appointed mediator to bring the colleges and faculty union back to the table 1/2
