A 23-year-old woman has been transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after she was shot during a brazen shooting in Mississauga on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 2:30 pm in the area of Battleford Road and Glen Erin Drive.

When investigators arrived at the scene, they located an injured woman who was then transported to a trauma centre.
Police did not say where the shooting happened.

The suspect, who fled the scene, is described as a Black man with light skin, 6’0″, and he was seen wearing a dark green three-quarter-length jacket with a hood.
Following the shooting, several schools and daycares in the area were placed under hold-and-secure as a precaution.
