This is what the LCBO's extended hours will look like in Toronto

Dec 20 2018, 11:35 pm

The LCBO has announced its new hours.

According to a press release, select locations will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 11 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm.

News about the change comes shortly after the provincial government declared that the LCBO, Beer Store and licensed grocers could legally sell alcohol from 9 am to 11 pm, seven days a week.

The new hours are being implemented at 50 stores across Ontario including those in Toronto, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga. You can find the full list of stores here.

Extended store hours are already in place for the busy holiday season, including Boxing Day and will continue on a permanent basis into the New Year, beginning January 4, 2019.

You read that right — these locations will be open on Boxing Day.

Customers can find the nearest store with extended hours in a particular area through the online store locator, using the mobile app or calling their local store directly.

And a reminder that in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, LCBO stores will reduce hours or close on the following days:

Monday, December 24: All stores open until 6 pm on Christmas Eve
Tuesday, December 25: All stores closed on Christmas Day
Wednesday, December 26: 50 stores open on Boxing Day
Monday, December 31: Most stores open until 6 pm or 8 pm on New Year’s Eve
Tuesday, January 1: All stores closed on New Year’s Day
Wednesday, January 2: All stores re-open and resume normal operating hours

And, as always, enjoy responsibly.
