KFC ramen burger mashup coming soon to Toronto

Ramen burgers are not a new thing.

Beef patties sandwiched between ramen noodle buns made appearances at the CNE this year and have been the subject of kitchen experiments from inventive home cooks in the GTA. Oddly enough, the tasty creation first popularized in 2013 has yet to find a home on Toronto menus as anything more than a fleeting special.

All that’s about to change with the impending opening of Kaboom Chicken at 722 Queen Street East in Riverside.

Ramen noodle buns topped with crispy fried chicken thighs and bibimbap-inspired toppings are set to debut on the opening menu when the fast casual eatery opens in mid-November.

In addition to the novel fried chicken sandwiches, expect a menu featuring KFC (that’s Korean fried chicken), bao, and pork bone tacos.
