From the team behind Patois: Jackpot Chicken Rice opens today for dinner

Oct 17 2016, 7:15 pm

Hainanese chicken rice is the specialty at Jackpot, this brand new Toronto eatery debuting at dinner hour today in Chinatown.

It’s the newest venture from chef Craig Wong and team, also responsible for Toronto’s well-loved Chinese-Caribbean joint Patois (still shuttered following a fire this summer) as well as Ting Irie, a newly opened modern Jamaican joint in Dubai.

Hit the Jackpot! Doors open tomorrow 5pm. If you don’t know #chickenrice, now you know. #eatjackpot 🎥 @karl_kh_man

The new restaurant takes over the address formerly home to Lucky Red on Spadina, and will feature a menu of poached and roasted chicken dishes originating in the Hainan province of southern China.
