No need to take the shuttle to get your Swedish meatball fix this month. IKEA Play Café pops up on Queen West from June 16 to 27.
Offering an arcade-like approach to shopping for cooking, dining, and entertaining merchandise, the pop-up features an oversized pinball game, Science Centre-like discovery stations to interact with, and a mini marketplace.
Perhaps most enticing is the cafe menu offering a taste of IKEA’s signature food stuffs including meatballs and frozen yogurt. The first 100 people in line at 11 am when the pop-up launches on Friday, June 16 will even get an order of frozen yogurt for free.
As our favourite Swedish chef might say, “Bork, bork, bork!”
