Editor’s note: According to the Hamilton Conservation Authority, this trail is no longer open. (Update as of Feb 2020)

While today’s temperatures might not agree, we promise it is in fact winter right now. And Hamilton has the winter activity you’ve been waiting for.

New this year to Valens Lake Conservation Area (just north of Hamilton), is a 425-metre long outdoor skating loop through the woods that certainly looks like a must-try this winter.

Only an hour from downtown Toronto, this outdoor skating rink is (obviously) subject to weather and trail conditions so make sure you call ahead before heading out.
