A&W has announced that all restaurants across Canada will be serving up free root beer all day, from open ’til close on Saturday, July 22, otherwise known as Free Root Beer Day.
It’s an arbitrary day seemingly invented for, and celebrated exclusively by, the fast-food chain that’s best known for its family of burgers and frosty mugs of fountain root beer.
Interestingly enough, longtime fans should know that as of July 10, the recipe for the fizzy drink is all new. The company has just introduced a sugar cane-sweetened, naturally flavoured version of its signature drink made with sarsaparilla, birch bark, licorice, and anise.
Sounds good but probably worth getting a free sample while you can.
