Environment Canada issues special weather statement for Toronto

Nov 6 2018, 4:27 am

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto.

And while it may just be grey outside today, the agency is advising that there will be strong winds developing on Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday evening.

“Strong southwesterly winds with gusts up to 80 km/h are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon and continue into the evening,” says the statement. “The strong winds are forecast to gradually weaken Tuesday night.”

Environment Canada warns that loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

The weather forecast calls for cloudy skies with a 40% chance of drizzle for Monday night. There will be fog patches developing near midnight.

And by tomorrow, it will be windy.

So hold on to your hats, Toronto.
