Environment Canada issues special weather statement, rain warning for Toronto

Brace yourself, rain is ~~coming~~ already here.

Environment Canada has issued two separate weather statements for Toronto.

There is a rainfall warning for the city, as heavy rain is expected to roll through this afternoon. Environment Canada states that showers and thunderstorms are expected, with local amounts of 50 to 60 mm possible.

The rain will move out of the area later this afternoon.

While they advise caution while driving and near creeks, the statement says that conditions will improve later today as the showers and thunderstorms move off to the east.

Thankfully, tomorrow looks like sunny skies that will help continue the current warm stretch.
