It would seem that the driftwood Toronto sign on the shore of Humber Bay Park now has company.

The still-standing Toronto sign created from reclaimed driftwood has already risen to become one of the city’s newest, most Instagrammable attractions, and now artists Thelia Sanders-Shelton and Julie Ryan have done it again just east of the original sculpture with the installation of a massive stick figure.

Images of the giant driftwood man reclining by the waterfront are already circulating on Instagram with more than one caption making the comparison to Groot.

Ran into Thelia Sanders-Shelton and Julie Ryan’s newest waterfront #driftwood creation over the wknd. Apparently it’s taken them 10days so far to create this relaxed wooden figure located just east of their now famous #torontosign #exploretoronto #torontoart #torontolove #getoutside #adventuresinthecity
