The Don Valley Parkway is closing down this weekend.

Yes. The entire Don Valley Parkway will be closed in both directions from April 21 to 24 for annual spring maintenance.

A number of repairs will take place on DVP. These will include resurfacing 14.3 lane kilometres of roadway, patching asphalt surfaces, and pothole repairs.

Don Mills Road, Bayview Avenue, and Victoria Park Avenue are all alternative routes for motorists during the weekend closure.

There will also be temporary parking restrictions on Broadview Avenue from 10 am on April 21 to 5 am on April 24. There will be no parking on Broadview Avenue north from Danforth Avenue to Pape Avenue and O’Connor Drive in efforts to help travel flow quicker during the  closure.

The City is encouraging those who use the DVP to allow extra travel time during this weekend. The roadway will re-open at 5 am on Monday, April 24.
