Raptors' DeRozan, Ibaka, Casey get ejected seconds apart (VIDEO)

Going for a franchise-record 12 straight wins, emotions ran high for the Toronto Raptors as the Oklahoma City Thunder came to town for a Sunday afternoon tilt at the Air Canada Centre.

A back-and-forth affair, it looked like the game would come down to the final possession. However, with just over three minutes to go, All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry fouled out, which was the beginning of a series of calls the Raptors were angry with.

Lowry did not agree with the fifth foul call on him, and when the sixth came, Lowry was sarcastically laughing it off as he headed to the bench.

With 8.1 seconds left, things really boiled over.

DeMar DeRozan received a second technical foul for arguing with the ref. Serge Ibaka was tossed shortly after, followed by head coach Dwane Casey – all before OKC inbounded the ball.

DeRozan was furious about a missed call, as Corey Brewer of the Thunder appeared to foul him.

After the game, DeRozan was still fuming.

“He smacked me. He smacked the shit out of me,” DeRozan told reporters. “He smacked me because I had a lay-up. He fouled me. Period.”

“The league needs to do something because it’s not just us, it’s every game. But tonight… common, man. That can’t happen. It can’t happen,” DeRozan added.

Judging by their comments, it appears the Raptors are hoping to get the league’s attention, as this isn’t the first time Toronto has had problems with the refs this season.

It will be interesting to see if Casey or any of his players will be suspended or fined for their actions in this one.

In the end, the Raptors needed to stay level-headed, as they had a shot to win this game, but they let their emotions take over, as OKC walked away with a 132-125 win.
