Cops – What else could this incoming cafe be but a doughnut shop? Everyone knows that law enforcement loves drip coffee and doughnuts – and who cares if the stereotype is true or not – what’s not to love?

While the exact address is still to be announced, the new shop will be a stone’s throw away from King and Portland, and is the latest effort from the same team behind Baddies in Bloorcourt.

Cops will focus on delivering “high-quality drip coffee and redeeming it,” according to owner Alex White, “I believe it’s the best and truest expression of a coffee’s origin, so why water it down and make an Americano? Anyone who knows anything about coffee knows that specialty batch drip is the way. For consistency and overall yums.”

“[We] just want to keep it simple and do simple right,” says White via text message to Daily Hive. The drip coffee and doughnut shop is aiming to open this spring.
