Toronto's first chocolate brigadeiro store is opening soon
Chocollata Gourmet, a new store dealing in gourmet chocolate brigadeiros is coming soon to Toronto’s Upper Beaches neighbourhood.
Brigadeiro, AKA bite-size Brazilian truffles, can best be described as a cross between a truffle, caramel, and fudge. The business, owned by husband and wife team Igor and Talitha Ramade, has been a fixture in Toronto’s pop-up circuit in recent years.

For the past three years, the pair have been hawking their sweets at markets like the Trinity Bellwoods Flea and the Distillery Sunday Market and partnering with local stores like City Canteen and Canary & Fox Micro Market.

The shop is expected to open in the next two or three weeks and will major in all things brigadeiros and everything made with brigadeiros. Expect it to carry up to 20 different flavours along with the same Belgian and French chocolate used to make them, mainly Callebaut and Cacao Barry.
