“You’ve got a dog and drink and the umpire’s call. What do you want?” *Audience yells* “Dollar dogs!”

Baseball fans looking to get their fill of hot dogs, trinkets, and replica jerseys will have plenty of games to keep them busy at the Rogers Centre in 2019.

The Toronto Blue Jays released their 2019 promotional schedule and announced the return of some fan favourites, plus the inclusion of a few brand new giveaways for 2019.

Among the biggest promotions includes “Loonie Dogs Night” during the first Tuesday home game of every month. Hungry fans can stuff their face with one-dollar hot dogs, but there is a catch – a limit of four hot dogs per transaction will prevent fans from loading up on a dozen franks at the concession stand in one sitting.

Loonie Dogs Nights in 2019:

  • Tue, Apr 2 vs Baltimore Orioles
  • Tue, May 7 vs Minnesota Twins
  • Tue, Jun 4 vs New York Yankees
  • Tue, Jul 2 vs Boston Red Sox
  • Tue, Aug 13 vs Texas Rangers
  • Tue, Sep 10 vs Boston Red Sox

A brand new apocalyptic addition to the Blue Jays promotional schedule is “Zombie Night” on Friday September 13th. This game includes a “Blue Jays zombie giveaway” … whatever that entails.

As far as player-centric giveaways go, fans can snag a Lourdes Gurriel “Pina Power” bobblehead on April 24th, a Marcus Stroman “Strognome” on Mother’s Day, and a Randal Grichuk “Ran-Doll” June 28th.

Wookies and wampas alike will be thrilled to see Star Wars Day return on August 30th. Pride Night is back for a second year, taking place on June 6th. The game includes a rainbow hooded henley for the first 15,000 fans.

Something cool to keep an eye out for is the trio of T.G.I.F. replica jersey giveaways happening on June 7th, July 5th, and July 26th. Two of the giveaways have yet to be announced, but the July 5th game includes a replica retro powder blue Jays jersey adorned with the name and number of former AL MVP: George Bell.

All new for 2019 is a slight variation on the Blue Jays’ “Country Night”, which was revamped as “Country Do-Si-Do” night on May 24th and 25th. Giveaways on these nights include a camo hat giveaway and a Justin Smoak “Smoakey BBQ Set” for the first 15,000 fans.

When it comes to the most unusual giveaways on the schedule, the Blue Jays relaxed denim hat giveaway on Canada Day and the Blue Jays fanny pack giveaway on September 28th certainly top the list.

While there are some pretty cool gifts on this list, but the most anticipated gift on the list will be the highly-anticipated arrival of the best prospect in all of baseball: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. It won’t beĀ long before his name is plastered all over Blue Jays giveaways for their 2020 season.
