Step aside, Kumbaya. Toronto’s adult camps are much more than our traditional childhood camp experiences.

Offering everything fun from our early camping memories, to booze and gourmet meals, these adult camps are redefining camp life. For the first time in a decade, we’re excited to go back to summer camp.

Camp Reset

Are you constantly looking at your phone? Do you ever wish your phone was just off for a few days? If you said yes to either, or want to digitally disconnect, Camp Reset awaits you. The adult camp, located an hour outside of Toronto, is all about the summer camp experience with a digital detox element, making this about our actual childhoods – the pre-selfies era. Think scavenger hunt, colouring books, and hiding the flags. The first weekend is sold-out, so get your hands on the second weekend and get electro-detoxed!

Where: Ecology Retreat Centre, Mono, Ontario
When: July 14 – 17 (sold-out), and July 21 – 24
Tickets: Available starting at $539

Lake Field Music Camp

Although this retreat is open to adults and teens, the Lake Field Music Camp is all about the music aspect. Spending your days immersed in music of all genres, the program brings together musicians from different musical backgrounds and organizes workshops, courses, and classes for attendees. The evenings programs include open mic and performance times.

When: August 7 – 14
Tickets: Registration is currently open until June 30. Camp costs start at $499 for half-day programs and one meal.

Jamboree 2016

Organized by Out & Out Toronto, Jamboree is a LGBTQ adult summer camp. It’s a vacation unlike any other, on a 300-acre lake side location. The camp offers outdoor activities, along with a small theatre, dance/fitness studio, and arts & crafts room. The inclusive camp is geared towards having a place for everyone. Jamboree is a member-only event, those who wish to attend will need to join Out & Out first.

Where: Halliburton, Ontario

Tickets: Earlybird rates are available until June 30. For 8 days of camp, the cost is $621. 5 days of camp is $412, and 3 days is $265. Membership cost is $35.

Two Islands Weekend

The extremely popular Two Islands Weekend is back for its fourth year, and this is all about the best of adulthood combined with everything youthful. From booze and epic food, to nature games and activities, Two Islands is an adventure that will remind you that adulthood is just as fun as childhood. With the location so close to Toronto, you’ll wonder why this isn’t a regular weekend camp. And due to popularity, the camp is currently sold-out but there is a waiting list – so get on it!

Where: Camp Timberlane, 1612 Dudley Road, Halliburton, Ontario
When: September 9 – 11
