What to eat in and around Seattle today: Taproot Cafe and Bar

Mar 8 2021, 8:52 pm

With an environment as appealing as their menu, Taproot Cafe and Bar is one of our favorite spots in Columbia City.

Based on fresh, seasonal, and top-quality ingredients, the cafe and bar has something for everyone.

They even make their own gluten-free bread in house.

Taproot Cafe and Bar specializes in fresh salads and sandwiches. Stay classic with a kale caesar or wild arugula salad, or try something new with their curry chicken salad.

If you’d rather a handheld meal, go for a sandwich. We love the Make You Melt with albacore tuna salad, celery, apple and cheddar, as well as the Cuban Tofu Panini with marinated tofu, house-made coconut-infused slaw, avocado, and chili mayo.

In addition to cocktails, wine, and beer, sip on a tasty smoothie or one of their many juices.

The spot is currently open for dine-in at 25% capacity and accepting orders for takeout.
