4K HDR TV Contest Calgary – June 28, 2018
CONTEST RULES
1. HOW TO ENTER
No purchase necessary. To participate entrants must be viewing the relevant Facebook Live feed taking place on Daily Hive’s Facebook channel on June 28, 2018 at 5:30pm MST. Entrants will be required to watch the Facebook Live feed for an opportunity to guess where the TELUS prize (LG 50” 4K HDR Smart TV) is located within the city of Calgary. The entrant must then travel in person to the secret prize location on June 28 and correctly announce to the street team onsite the phrase “Optik TV. The best keeps getting better”. Entrants have the opportunity to win one of two LG 50” 4K HDR Smart TV’s.
No other form of participation is accepted. Only one (1) entry per person accepted. This contest is intended for residents of Alberta only who are 18 years of age or older and will be interpreted according to Canadian law. Contest runs 5:30pm MST June 28, 2018 to approx. 6:00pm MST June 28, 2018. In the event that no prize is claimed on or before the contest closing date TELUS may have the right to extend the contest. TELUS is not responsible for any transportation costs to and from the secret location.
The contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook and release Facebook from any and all liability arising from or related to this contest..
2. THE PRIZE
There will be two (2) winners. Each winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):
- One (1) LG 50″ 4K HDR Smart TV (retail value $799)
Prize must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable and cannot be exchanged with TELUS for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the winning entrant. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the Prize which is, in their sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time.
3. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, entrants must attend in person at the 4K HDR secret location site and announce the phrase “Optik TV. The best keeps getting better”. This contest is open to all residents of Alberta only who are 18 years of age or older, excluding employees of TELUS Corporation, its affiliated companies or subsidiaries (collectively “TELUS”), its advertising and promotional agencies and members of their respective immediate households and any person domiciled with any of the above. All winners will be asked to supply government issued identification to ensure their validity of residency and age onsite.
4. THE WINNER
To win, the selected entrant must be the first or second person to arrive in person at the secret 4K HDR activation site and correctly announce the phrase: “Optik TV. The best keeps getting better”. In the event of a tie between two or more entrants a random draw will be conducted amongst the tied entrants. The winning entrant will be required to sign a standard Release form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules. Failure to comply with the Contest Rules or to sign and return any of the Release forms will result in disqualification.
By participating in this contest, the winner acknowledges that he or she releases TELUS, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, advertising and promotional agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the contest and acceptance of the Prize, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the contest or accepting the Prize, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees.
5. ENTRIES
TELUS assumes no responsibility for any failure of the website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from this contest. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of TELUS and its advertising and promotional agencies, corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest or for any other reason. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
6. PRIVACY
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation. Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants’ personal information that may include contacting you regarding limited time offers, promotional offers and/or surveys.
