From cocktails under a cherry blossom tree to having a beer next to a giant moose head, there is a diverse range of new bars to visit. Here are our topic picks for the best new bars in Montreal.

Blossom Bar

Blossom Bar is a Japanese themed bar with a massive cherry blossom tree in the centre. Seated under the tree, you can order one of the 20 types of sake included on the bar menu. Go to try a sake cocktail and enjoy the Japanese inspired dishes.

Created by the group that brought us Jatoba, Flyjin and Restaurant Ha, Nhâu Bar is the latest addition. The basement bar has an exotic atmosphere filled with red and yellow paper lanterns. Go with friends to enjoy Vietnamese and tiki-influenced cocktails.

Clandestino

Clandestino is a mezcal & tequila Bar speakeasy-inspired bar in Old Montreal. Inside the warm space filled with couches and has seating for 30 people. At Clandestino, you can order flights of three tequilas or mezcals or order by the ounce.

Le Saint-Moose

Le Saint-Moose has a Canadiana theme complete with a giant moose and snowshoes. Outside they have a terrace on the street with a grass floor. The bar features Canadian gin, whiskey, vodka, and rum.

Le Royal

Le Royal is a sophisticated and intimate cocktail bar inspired by the roaring 20s. The interior features stone wall and a cozy atmosphere that makes it a perfect date spot. Le Royal’s bar menu focuses on cocktails, sparkling wines, and champagnes. The cocktail menu focuses on classics such as the Old Fashioned or Negroni.

Hydan

The dimly lit cocktail bar has a sleek and sophisticated interior. Every Monday night they have live unplugged music.
