Now open: Taco Trunp is making Mexican food in Montreal great again

In a not-so-subtle jab at the current el presidente of the US, this newly opened taqueria is dishing out the “BEST TACOS IN CANADA, BELIEVE ME, AMAZING.”

Taco Trunp, a vendor at Marché de la Gare de Sherbrooke, opened its first brick and mortar restaurant in Montreal’s Petite-Patrie neighbourhood this past weekend where it’s billing its menu as 100% Mexican – no Tex-Mex or fake tacos here.

On the menu, diners can look forward to staples including tortillas topped with Al Pastor (slow roasted pork and pineapple), Carnitas (shredded pork), Barbacoa (smoked meat), and Carne Asada (steak) in addition to quesadillas andpiratas.
