Montreal’s annual Shakespeare in the Park is back.

The untraditional rendition of Shakespeare returns on July 5, and will run until August 8. The long-running outdoor theatre event is celebrating its 30th year and takes on a Shakespearean classic this summer in the form of Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love.

Repercussion Theatre produces Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love with a contemporary, gender-bent take on the classic love story.

The tragic tale of new love is mixed with old grudges as two young people fall in love and must break the barriers erected by the previous generation.

The cast includes 10 dynamic performers, gorgeous outdoor sets from various venues around Montreal and live music. This is one spectacular way to spend a summer night.
