If you happened to walk down Saint Laurent between Rene Levesque and Viger this weekend, you may have noticed more than a few decorations.

In honour of the Chinese New Year, Montreal’s Chinatown went all out.

Covered head to toe in colourful lanterns and a stunning Year of the Rooster display, Chinatown was quite a sight to behold.

Its shops, restaurants, and streets were all in a festive mood, delighting visitors with specialty treats and goodies. In addition, there was the annual lion dance from the Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club.

For those that didn’t get a chance to experience the magic, check out 20 photos from Montreal’s Chinese New Year celebrations.
