With summer officially packing up its bags this Saturday and Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to give you some chilly news as Mont Tremblant’s ski resort will be boasting a slew of new installations for the upcoming season.

Having been voted the 4th best ski resort in Eastern North America, Mont Tremblant’s charming French resort is looking to improve itself even more thanks to a $17 million investment to improve both on-mountain activities and the pedestrian village.

Headlining the major renovations will be the replacement of the Lowell Thomas lift which serves the upper North side of the mountain.

The lift will be replaced entirely by the “Dopplemayr detachable quad,” according to the Mont Tremblant website. The new lift has the capacity to transport 600 skiers and snowboarders per hour.

The main summit building, Le Grand Manitou, will also be expanding. An increased showroom of windows will host 400 additional seats and a reinvented food court.

Five new glades and one trail will extend the mountain’s skiable terrains to 102 total trails.

Tremblant is also increasing their snowmaking capacity for the 2018-2019 campaign as 31 high-efficiency snow guns will be added to their snowmaking fleet, now totalling 1,164.

Two new on-mountain groomers, the cleanest engine of its kind in North America, will provide more engine power and higher torque to resurface the mountain while reducing exhaust emissions by up to 90%.

At the base of the popular mountain, a $3.7 million investment is almost completed, offering improved guestrooms and common areas in the pedestrian village.
