The weather in Montreal is going to be dangerously hot this weekend.

Good news for Canada Day partiers (with access to pools, beaches, and AC) and bad news for Moving Day movers (who are, well, moving).

According to The Weather Network, we are in store for some serious heat Friday through Tuesday.

After Thursday’s expected thundershowers, temperatures are supposed to rise from 30°C on Friday to a whopping 36°C on Sunday, which is expected to make the city feel like 48°C!

A lot of sunshine is expected to come alongside these dangerously hot temperatures, with Friday and Saturday both slated to get 10 hours of sun and Sunday’s scorcher garnering 14 hours of expected sunlight.

The holiday Monday has a chance of showers (5-10 mm) with equally impressive temperatures of 34°C ,that will feel like 45°C with the humidex valuation. Tuesday may see less than 1 millimetre of rain and is expected to feel like 41°C, a nice way to start what’s going to be another short workweek in Montreal.

Stay hydrated, find plenty of shade and wear sunscreen – especially for people taking part in Moving Day.
